Dear BAMBI Members,
Welcome to October, the month that allows all of us, children and grown-ups alike, to be silly or/and scary. Halloween is upon us! So, get into the mood and join us at our BAMBI Halloween Party on 29 October.
Did you enjoy our autumn Bring & Buy Sale on 24 September? With this sale out of the way, we are now entering the busiest time of the BAMBI year, which will reach its peak with our Christmas party. We are not there yet, but get ready for an extra busy last quarter.
Again this month, I would like to say a humble and heartfelt thank you to some departing Committee members, and welcome some new volunteers to our team.
Leaving us this month are: Esti Feuerman, outgoing British Club Coordinator, whose smile is always as sweet as her cupcakes; Adrienne Yang, E-Newsletter Coordinator, who created a great-looking website, and introduced us all to the power of the E-Newsletter; Lihi Gal, Website Assistant, whose patience and understanding will be sorely missed;
Soofia Asad, Assistant Editor and Photo Editor Assistant, who took great pictures of us and her friendly smile made us all talk, talk, talk, during interviews; and Catherine Fleet, Librarian, whose ease and friendly personality was much appreciated by new moms and moms-to-be at our Bumps&Babies meetings.
Stepping up this month are Faye Currie, who will take over production of the E-Newsletter; Gili Back, who is donning another BAMBI hat, as British Club Playgroup Coordinator; and Donatella Lazari, who will be our new British Club Playgroup Assistant. Welcome to our Community!
It is always sad to receive an email or phone call announcing that someone from the Committee is having to step down. But then, it is exciting to receive the news that someone new is ready to come in to our Committee. Such is the bitter-sweet life of the BAMBI Community. I am pleased to inform you that we have finalized the implementation of a new database system. The new system will keep your personal data well-protected and will generate accurate reports on your membership status.
And, finally, I’d like to say a big ‘Thank You!’ to Or-Yah Avni and Orit Bar for donating goods to BAMBI Charities and playgroups, and to June Chew for the donation of the Mini Micro scooters (www.micro-thailand.com) to BAMBI Pattaya Playgroup.
